Page was started 2.13.2008.<br \/>\n(There is some paraphrasing, at my risk, of the final project requirements.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>At least 4 pages, including a home page and contact page (with form).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>This site&#8217;s home page contains the links to the qualifying pages.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The contact form must contain at least 5 fields including a dropdown menu, bullet or check box field, a text area, submit and clear buttons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The contact form contains the above.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The site must be hand coded, and a graphic template may be used.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The site was hand coded initially with WordPad and is currently being coded with <a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/projects\/notepad-plus\/\" target=\"_blank\">Notepad++<\/a>. This site&#8217;s page templates originated from the template at <a href=\"http:\/\/csis137.com\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.w3.org\/QA\/2002\/04\/valid-dtd-list.html<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The site must be posted to a live hosting service. There must be a link to it on the main page of the student&#8217;s coursework site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>This site has been hosted at GoDaddy.com since the website inception. The coursework home page is at <a href=\"http:\/\/csis137.com\" target=\"_blank\">CSIS137.com<\/a> and contains a link to this site.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tables and divs must be used for site layout.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Divs are used for the main page structure and tables are used in the header and footer divs. Divs and tables were used at website inception.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The site must be aesthetically pleasing to the eye and easy to read. Be creative and explore past the text book. Follow copyright and legal rules.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.&#8221; This site meets the required standard, as I understand it. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Please see this site&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/csis137.com\/copyright.html\">copyright page<\/a> for copyright and legal issues.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Have enough content to make it interesting but not overwhelming so that people become bored or frustrated with the site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>A &#8220;beauty is in the eye of the beholder&#8221; issue.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Include at least one image per page.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The header design includes an image but more will be added. One image per page was at website inception. There are also images loaded into Amber&#8217;s blog.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Use inline, embedded CSS styles and external CSS style sheet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Embedded and inline styles are used on about.html.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The external <a href=\"http:\/\/AmberSalzer.com\/amber.css\" target=\"_blank\">CSS style sheet<\/a> has been used since site inception.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Use a table and nested table to display some type of information.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Nested table is used for email addresses on index.html footer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Have hyperlinks that work to navigate to each page, as well as to pages outside the site.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Such links were located on the site&#8217;s sidebar at website inception.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Use comments in pages and CSS files. Comment everything to show what is trying to be accomplished, what each set of code does, and when the task was completed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Comments are included.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Div must be given a class or ID for CSS formatting use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The standard page layout for the site uses div with IDs and was used at<\/em><em> website inception.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Appropriate data and coding within the title tags, heading tags and meta data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Appropriate data and coding have been included in title tags, heading tags and meta data of the home page since website inception. Meta data was added ~3\/15\/08.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Create an ordered and unordered list, using some type of graphic for bullet points.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Unordered  list and graphic for bullet is on playgrounds.html.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ordered list is on links.html.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Demonstrate fixed positioning, absolute positioning and negative positioning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Fixed positioning is demonstrated on index.html; absolute positioning is demonstrated on about.html; negative positioning is demonstrated on playgrounds.html.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Demonstrate three items not from the text book, referencing the resource. (e.g. blog, JavaScript, advanced CSS formatting)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>1) This blog, Amber&#8217;s Adventures, is a WordPress blog that was installed at <a href=\"http:\/\/AmberSalzer.com\">AmberSalzer.com<\/a> on February 7, 2008. It was obtained from <a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/wordpress.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">WordPress.org<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>2) Favicon, the icon in the browser&#8217;s address bar to the left of the address was used at <\/em><em>website inception.<\/em><em> I don&#8217;t remember where I first learned of it. However, information on favicon is available in Wikipedia at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Favicon\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Favicon<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>3) JavaScript is used on the playgrounds.html page to select for the header a random image from a set of images. A good source for me to learn JavaScript is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3schools.com\/js\">http:\/\/www.w3schools.com\/js<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>4) CAPTCHA (<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Captcha\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Captcha<\/a>) is on contact page, contact.html, implemented with reCAPTCHA (<a href=\"http:\/\/recaptcha.net\">http:\/\/recaptcha.net<\/a>).<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Use and indentification of the location of specified tags and attributes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The list of the required tags and attributes is at <a href=\"http:\/\/ambersalzer.com\/tags_attributes.pdf\">http:\/\/ambersalzer.com\/tags_attributes.pdf<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a work in progress.
